The front door is not automatically the best exit. A side or rear path can eliminate sharp interior turns, but it must be checked for gate width, slope, overhead clearance, firm footing and enough space for the crew to reposition safely.
Thick moving blankets cushion the finish and corners. Stretch wrap keeps those blankets from shifting without placing adhesive tape on the piano itself.
At a threshold, both movers must know who is controlling height, direction and balance. The piano advances only when the route and footing are clear.
Inside a home, a few centimetres decide whether a cabinet clears the trim. We slow down at doorways, square the piano before entering and protect the surface while making controlled pivots.

We close and secure the keyboard lid and inspect loose panels, pedals, legs and casters.
Blankets cover the top, sides, front and high-contact corners before stretch wrap holds the layers together.
A dolly, piano skid, shoulder straps or controlled team carry is selected for each part of the route.
The piano is positioned against a protected wall and secured with commercial straps so it cannot shift in transit.
Heavy-item equipment
Our hydraulic liftgate creates a controlled loading platform for pianos, especially when the driveway makes a ramp approach awkward. Once raised, the instrument moves directly into the box and is strapped independently from other items.

Baby grand preparation
We remove the music rack, pedal lyre and legs in the correct order, pad every component and secure the protected body to a piano board. The board provides stable lift points and shields the cabinet during doorways, steps and truck loading.
At delivery, we rebuild the instrument in the chosen room and position it carefully. Tuning is normally scheduled after the piano has had time to adjust to the temperature and humidity of its new space.
