Set and seal the slates with beeswax
The slate sections are positioned carefully, aligned and secured. We fill the seams with beeswax to create one smooth, continuous playing surface without ridges between the slate pieces.

Position the new felt
New cloth is laid out in the correct direction, centred over the slate and checked before tensioning. Careful positioning prevents wrinkles, distortion and uneven wear.

Stretch and staple the felt
The cloth is tensioned evenly across the bed and secured around the table. Consistent tension keeps the playing surface flat while preserving the shape of each pocket opening.

Finish the felt and prepare the rails
We trim and finish the bed cloth cleanly, complete the pockets and prepare the covered rails for installation. Every opening and edge is checked before the top is closed.

The rails, pockets and hardware are installed in sequence and tightened evenly. We verify alignment and make final adjustments so the table is stable and ready for play.
