This was a large 6 ft by 12 ft snooker table with heavy slates, so the project required careful planning before any piece was moved. Our team completed the breakdown, protected the slate sections, moved the table from London to Brantford, and assembled it at the delivery location.
During the same project, the felt was changed, which is often the best time to recover a snooker table because the rails and slates are already accessible. Large snooker tables need accurate slate placement and leveling because small mistakes can create uneven rolls, slow spots or visible seams.
This pool table was moved from London to Stratford and refelted after delivery. Once the table was positioned, the slates were aligned and bonded together with beeswax to help create a smooth playing surface between the slate joints.
After the slate seams were finished, the table was leveled and recovered. This type of project is ideal for customers who are moving a used pool table into a new home and want it to look clean, play properly and be ready for regular use.
This snooker table was brought from Grand Bend to a new house basement in London. Basement delivery requires extra care because access can include stairs, tight turns, low ceiling areas and limited working space around the table.
At a later scheduled visit, the table was assembled and recovered. The cushion bumpers were also changed to better quality bumpers to improve the bounce and overall play. This project shows how a table move can be combined with restoration-style upgrades.
This Hamilton project included new cushion installation, refelting, installation and final leveling. Cushion replacement is important when rails have become dead, inconsistent or no longer provide the bounce needed for proper play.
After the cushion work and felt replacement, the table was installed and leveled so the customer could use it with a cleaner surface and improved rail response. This type of work is especially useful for older pool tables or tables being refreshed after a move.
The customer called because there was a noticeable ridge between the slates. A ridge can affect ball roll, create an uneven playing surface and make the table feel poorly installed even if the frame looks fine.
We disassembled the table, corrected the slate positioning, leveled the table, fixed the slate seams and refelted the surface. This type of repair is common when a table was previously moved, assembled on an uneven floor or installed without proper slate seam work.
Pool tables and snooker tables are precision items. Moving them correctly protects the frame, slates, cloth, rails and final play quality.
A ridge between slates, loose seams, uneven flooring, worn felt or bad cushion bounce can change the way the balls roll. Proper setup includes checking the slate joints, leveling the table and finishing the cloth cleanly.
For larger snooker tables, the slate weight and table size make professional handling especially important.
